"Themed" Moments

This is the place for your memories of dressing up, acting zilly, and taking pictures of it for posterity. As a matter of fact, please post them, if you can, y'know, for posterity.

  4. It’s nearly impossible to choose one themed moment with KI... because they’re somehow all themed! But, my favorite to date... TWILIGHT!!

Yes, we’re so mature. The pre-party at her crib was decked out with vampire teeth and bloodcakes where she presented us with “Team J” and “Team E” shirts, each with different quotes on the back! We then made a scene at Harry’s Bar by hair-spraying our bodies with glitter and cutting our shirts 80’s style as we cheered to being 16 again…. and then followed our fearless leader with the Hannah Montana backpack down to Kabuki where we howled each and every time Jacob came on the big screen ;)

  5. I have to echo Britt here. Twilight was pretty amazing. I had my own shirt, I had glitter in my hair, I had fake vampire teeth in my mouth. It was also nowhere near Halloween, so I have no idea where she got them. But, they were GREAT.

  6. Not to be forgotten, country dancing at that place out in the middle of nowhere. Each car had its own country mix! I do believe she ended up on stage at one point during the evening..

  7. As far as themed moments go, i'm going to have to say, the best was when my wonderful cousin kristen was in highschool dancing at a little studio in the valley. The owner of the stuido Noreen B. Exavior spoke with chordless mic's for the entirety of the show in a small dance studio so we could be sure to hear her. The show itself was delightful, but the best was afterward when we took ALL of the costumes and Nat, Kristen and I ALL put on combos of beatiful ballet costumes, or cowgirl america tap costumes (with fancy plastic guns that 'pop'). We played dress up for like 4 hours, and took some of the most terrible pictures EVER!

The only other 'dress up' experience was when we all got fancy sarongs in Hawaii (after changing the swimsuit EVERY day to not get lines) and we took a 'traditional' tourist photo drinking from a coconut! Miss Kristen, I love you LOTS. Happy Birthday!

  8. I think we'll just call this the "sequin tube top themed moment" ...

During our time at UCLA, Kristen and I both purchased sequin tube tops ... Kristen's in silver, mine in purple (shocker). We wore them on numerous occasions which resulted in many fun photos (sadly, pre digital cameras). Then, senior year arrived and we had a Date Party for which our class was themed Ibiza. Of course, Kristen and I decided it was the perfect night on which to "retire" the sequin tube tops. Because needless to say, they didn't look the same as they did freshman year (okay, correction, we didn't look the same). So on that special night we went out with a bang and both wore the sequin tube tops ... after which both tops were never seen again. Let that be a testament to Kristen's wisdom ... the girl knows when certain fashions are no longer fabulous :)

  9. In an ideal world, the NASCAR theme for our CG would have stuck...and Kristen would have rocked a new amazing get-up every Tuesday night. We’re talkin’ wigs, colored tights, I'm sure a color-coordinated bedazzled belt or something else similarly kick-ass. But instead, we had a normal clothes themed CG, which is an all around let-down if you’re Kristen Isaacs or if you just enjoy being around her costume and/or theme generated enthusiasm. Luckily, such enthusiasm cannot be kept down. Many holiday and non-holiday-specific reasons to dress up allowed Kristen to bring her fun to our otherwise dull and dry CG (Sorry, Eric & Nic, it was great. Really.) Who could forget her Halloween & John the Baptist inspired spider get-up? I’d have to say that her amazing Cinco de Mayo mustache(s) put Tom Selleck to shame. I’m still convinced her St. Patty’s tights were actually green (mostly, because she said so) but her Mardi Gras duds were a personal fave...energetic, bright & SO MUCH FUN. A lot like Kristen herself. :) Happy birthday girl!

  10. the two that stand out in my life is Halloween 2006, Kristen Lolly and I decided we should be Kiss the band for Halloween and go trick-or-treating. we then realized we did not have a fourth, so we persuaded our aunt to participate and made her the final one! it was awesome!

the second is after Kristen's dance recital, she may have been 16, thought it would be a great idea to dress me up in all of her costumes and take pictures...quite embarrassing thinking back.
