  1. City Church, Summer 2009. Fred asks everyone to meet and greet, so I turn around and Kristen immediately puts out her hand- "Hi! I'm Kristen! Whats your name??" I'm thinking - Wow. She has a TON of energy. "My name is Rosalie- nice to meet you." Silence. And then she freaks out and tells me how lucky I am to have the name Rosalie because Twilight is just so great and she loves the movie and just can't wait for the second one to come out and "aren't you just so excited to see it??!" So at first I was wondering if she was actually being serious...and then realized that she definitely was...and I knew at that point that I had to be friends with her!

  2. I first met Kristen at Harry's Bar on Fillmore before heading to the New Moon premiere (I'm sensing a "Twilight" theme here...). I was a bit nervous because emails from her had said that we would be dressing up in 80's style and I wasn't exactly sure what that meant. All of a suddent this burst of energy comes through the front doors of Harry's with a side ponytail looking straight out of 1987. She runs up to us and proceeds to pull out a can of aerosol glitter spray and say that I need to be glittered and sparkly. I knew from then that I was in for a fun night. Since then I've gotten to know her through our CG and am so happy to call her a friend. She definitely continues to bring sparkle into my life!

  4. I am not sure that I remember meeting you Kristen, but I remember you telling me that you met me at the Texas/Western hoe down at church. I'm sure it was a great first meeting.

  5. The first time i met kristen was at a hyde street party where she attacked me. the first time kristen met me was when we rode the same bus. She would make up stories about my life as a Ukranian gymnast, who sadly grew to tall and was forced to retire early and try to make a living in America as a normal non-gymnast person who couldn't give up gymnast hair styles.

  7. I first met Kristen when we were pledging Delta Gamma at UCLA in the fall of 1999. One of my favorite memories from that first quarter together was riding the bus to the Rose Bowl for a UCLA Football game while DG Seniors sang dirty songs ... when Kristen and I got to our seats at the game we said to each "what the hell have we gotten ourselves into???" I think we seriously considered dropping out for fear that we would never fit in. Little did we know that DG would define our college experience and be the source of endless stories, smiles and sisterhood bonds. And little did I know that I'd found my very best friend in Miss Kristen Isaacs.

  8. Like many of us, I met Kristen on the volleyball field, otherwise known as the Marina Green. My first thought was, how does this girl have so much energy? my second thought was, how come she serves right-handed even though she's left-handed? And I pondered that for a while, until I felt pretty cool being the only left-handed person on the team who served left-handed. Then, as soon as I got over that, I became jealous of her volleyball playslists, which pretty much defined my life for 2 years. Lucky me, she was nice enough to share the mix, and it became the soundtrack of my life. :)
Our friendship has since moved on from non-left-handed serving and soundtracks, but that's how it began!

  9. When I first met Kristen I was a freshman at UCLA rushing DG. We quickly bonded over a love for Britney Spears. Sometimes it is just that easy. This was nearly ten years ago. Little did I know that this DG song chair and so-so little sis orchestrator would be my roommate after college in the Marina. Many laughs, coffees, GAP shopping sprees, and Pacific Catch dinners later Kristen continues to bring sunshine into my life!

....So this one super nice SF day myself and some others were playing volleyball at the Little Marina Green. All the usuals were out there, but then this new girl that I didn't recognize slowly came walking up...wearing big sunglasses, and seemed kind of shy and timid. She started playing vball with us, we started chatting, and she was talking about how she doesn't play much, yada yada yada. But she played very well and it turned out she was Team Captain of a vball team in our league. The next week she came out again, but she brought her iPod and speakers, nice addition to the marathon vball. I think I recall some dancing taking place. Suddenly she was a regular, except she danced sooo much that my Dad kept asking me who that girl is that keeps dancing for 5 STRAIGHT HOURS!!! Yes, my Dad, stalking us on the Exploratorium Cam from Houston, TX knows who Kristen Isaacs is even though he has never met her..."She's the girl that dances all the time, even during the league games, I know who you're talking about."-Tom Cochran. That was how I first met KI...street name = D Magical K Fresh :)

  11. Grandma Marcia looked at you and said "What beautiful eyebrows". Who thinks of that??? Ever since then, I have looked at every newborn's eyebrows and none compare to yours. GM was right.

  12. Frankly, I was a little miffed that I had to carry the entire conversation. Where was the articulate, effervescent person referenced elsewhere in this blog during that encounter?
